A Few Days Till Christmas Ideas For Giving

One of the hardest things to do is decide on Christmas giving. If part of your offering is to others, then this should not come as a surprise.

Over the next few days, I will suggest to you several venues. Take me up on one or all but think of at least one of the suggestions seriously.

For today it is my favorite people of Smile Train.

No child should grow with such facial deformity. But with a few dollars a year, each child could get the surgery needed. This Christmas make someone smile for real. Give a mother’s heart comfort, a child confidence and yourself the satisfaction of knowing you did something for someone else.

Yes, this is one cause close to my heart. Don’t ask me why! I have no reason, just is.

    I agree; adults can do without yet another electronic gadget or perfume bottle but children do not deserve this kind of tragic handicap; now that I am in Lebanon, it is street children that tug at my heart the most and deserve the most help from the rest of us

    It is indeed a noble cause to help such children. In our country there such cases and many other of mysterious diseases of the rural area children who are suffering and nobody cares. Poverty of the parents to get their children proper treatment, is pitiable. I think all these strange diseases are the result of wars with the new weapons of huge destruction and their global pollution.

  • The surgery only takes 45 minutes – imagine involving yourself in the life of a child for just 45 minutes yet the effects will last a lifetime! Very worthy cause.  Besides 45 minutes is about the length of time a child in the first world would spend on a new-fangled gadget a Christmas!
