You may write a wonderful blog or an intriguing piece but at the end, if your title is weak no one will click on it to see the amazing author you have become.
Newspaper, magazines and other publications of old did not spend thousands hiring title editors out of stupidity or to be cute. Without that first snag you get, no one will be there to read your piece.
If you spend a few minutes coming up with a title that is not wasted effort, consider it time well spent. The minutes spent there is the difference between someone reading your writing and hundreds ignoring your masterpieces.
Take the time and use the proper tools to evoke the interest you are looking to generate. Studies have been done with hours of research to hone the effective use of titles.
