This is not a new thought. This is just reiterating what we already know. Rest is a requirement for healthy living.
Take the time to shut down for a while, be it 10 minutes or 15 or more, just take the time to rest and tune off.
Turn off the television, turn off the radio, turn off the telephone, turn off your computer.
Those are simple commands that should not be so difficult to accomplish with a little bit of self restrain and control.
Put a face mask on, lie down, rest a while and listen to your body. Get attuned to listening to the rhythm of your body. Many women get in trouble because we have lost the ability to listen to the sounds of trouble in our body.
Rest so that your body could function in the next minutes and hours with grace and energy.
If you decide that you have no time, then so be it. There is no help for you even in the smallest measures. No amount of lotion, beauty care product or emollient will help keep your face from showing age and weariness.
Take the time so that you can give the time to the ones who are around you and need you.
Your family will do better when you are rested, your job performance will rise and your self-image will improve.
I have made a CD for just such rest. It is a 15-20 minute practice that can be incorporated in your week. If you do it once a week or every day, it will help the process along.
Mindful Rest is a must. Keep in mind all those hours you spend “doing” and take a few minutes out of the day to rejuvenate and re-energize so that you could continue the never ending tasks you have set up for yourself.
Take time to rest.
