Dear Baba Rumcake,
I’ve only had this happen to me on 2 occasions that I remember. Once was when I was really tired and mumbled my greeting rather unenthusiastically. The other time was an ordinary, friendly introduction to a new person in the office who completely ignored it, and I’m pretty sure they heard me. What would motivate someone to ignore something like this? It seems like it would take more effort to ignore it than to just politely acknowledge it. What gives?
