True Confessions Can Be Destructive

Please don’t be stupid and go confessing something that would cause trouble in your marriage or relationships in general. Just because today is True Confessions Day does not mean you should go into work and tell your Boss that you hate them, no matter how much you want to do it.

Just because today claims to be that day does not mean you have to tell your sister that if she was not family, you would never have thought of knowing her. It is not only creepy, it is rude and unnecessary.

Creep Hates Rejection Obviously

Dear Baba Rumcake,
I’m at a bar and someone I’m talking to asks, “So, if I give you my number will you call me?”
I responded with a simple smile of flattery and a verbal “No.”
He thought I was rude for saying that and told me so. I resisted saying he was rude for asking such a loaded question.
So, which is ruder?
Tell the person no, you won’t call him. It might hurt their feelings, but they know where they stand.
Tell the person yes, you’ll call and then let them wait for a phone call which will never come, and eventually causes them to think you’re a jerk for making an empty promise.

Pi Day, Who Knows What it Means

PI 1None of it makes any sense to me, so here it goes, be patient: Wikipedia says, Pi is a mathematical constant whose value is the ratio of any Euclidean plane circle’s circumference to its diameter; this is the same value as the ratio of a circle’s area to the square of its radius.

It is approximately equal to 3.14159265 in the usual decimal notation. Many formulae from mathematics, science, and engineering involve Pi, which makes it one of the most important mathematical constants.[1]

The Good Samaritan Did

Good-Samaritan.jpgThis is God’s way of teaching each of us humility and acceptance with joy. There are those times when we will be The Good Samaritan but those are the easy times. When we are on the receiving end, our true natures are uncovered. Woe to him who has his soul uncovered and does nothing; for hardness of heart will set in and God will not speak of that again.

The Good Samaritan tells of a man from Samaria, who found a wounded Jew on the side of the road and stopped to help.

Why the need to tell of the others who passed by before the Samaritan? Why was it so vital to the story to mention those others who fell short of grace!

Because they were the ones who should have stopped by all accounts. The one was of his ilk so to speak, the other was a teacher and a holy man.

The most unlikely was the Samaritan who could have just as easily ignored the assaulted man. In truth if the reverse were the case, the Jew would not have even given him a second glance since they thought so little of Samaritans.

God sometimes puts us in situations where we do not have everything, where we need others, even people we would normally not appreciate or regard.
