Tooth Fairy Getting Expensive

tooth-fairy.jpgWe all know that witches are everywhere waiting, lurking to take parts of you to put in their brew, like finger nail clippings, hair from your brush, a snotty tissue and even your tooth.

When a child loses a tooth, it is a time to rejoice and be excited that they are growing up. That is the time you know that, your not so little one, is on the way to having hopefully healthy solid teeth to bite into solid foods with relish.

But, you want to make sure that when your precious little one loses a tooth, the bad witch does not get hold of it and use it in her nasty magic. The tooth is hidden under the pillow in a little pouch which only the parents know about and they retrieve it in the middle of the night and replace it with a coin. [Read more...]

Self Centered Intolerance Not Tolerated

Dear Baba Rumcake,
I feel like the older i get, the more people get on my nerves. I don’t know if this has to do with my age (27 tomorrow..ughh) or my personality. I’m very introverted. I generally like people, but I notice that I have a shorter tolerance for them and being around people – especially groups or crowds has a way of totally draining my energy.

What Will They Wear Tonight

oscar-dress.jpgThe Academy Awards are tonight.

The night where everyone will be glued to their television sets to find out who will win and who will bomb this year.

It is all fine and good to say that you were nominated but the truth is you lost if you did not win, nominated or not, does not put that statue on your mantel, puts it in the mental.

So, here is a recipe for this day for you to make and for Pete’s Sake do not grouse, just try it.

bake-bread.jpgHere is a tired and true great recipe for Beer Bread. Easy and fast, this will make you seem like you baked all day in the kitchen and the results are tasty and different. [Read more...]

Kierkegaard, Not Antonym to Belief

soren.jpg“People demand freedom of speech as a compensation for the freedom of thought which they seldom use.”
— Søren Kierkegaard

Kierkegaard is by far one of our most brilliant philosophers of this time. His writings all stem from his education by a father who was well to do.

His devotion and his writings centered around the idea that we come to God individually not as a whole. It was based on the idea that the relationship with Christ was subjective and personal stemming from faith which is personal. [Read more...]

In America Official Advocates Live Ammunition Against Protesters

I never interfere in politics but this is ridiculous. Here in America! This is not Egypt or Libya! This is the United States of FREE America.

Jeff Cox, Deputy Attorney General of Indiana tweeted advocating that the police should use deadly force against the protesters of Wisconsin.

Now, it is really hard to believe that this moron could actually say and encourage such a thing. He must have visited the Middle East lately. [Read more...]
