One of the worst slogans the media came up with for women is “Because I’m worth it!” Shame on you! Shame on the manipulative advertising whores who use psycho analysis of self worth to manipulate and exploit the young and the weak. A continuous reassurance of our self centered, egotistical evolution from caring human beings to arrogant spoilt bitches.
It is a criminal master mind who came up with this trite that has been taken up and spewed out all over our television screens. The Mad Men who created this outrage to exploit. I stopped using the product, no matter how good, some of it is, just to avoid that barrage of insults.
Women, are not so small minded, that we need reaffirmation constantly, as we use our hair products, that we are special. Two words, “special” and “worth it” have become the bane of our culture. Nowhere else, do you see this kind of self massage, self indulgence of what we think of ourselves.
However, it has been sadly effective to some millions of sheep out there. The ones who actually do believe that using this product will make them somehow, feel better about themselves. Women’s vanity indeed!
It is a good thing that some people do not take them so seriously.
It is a good thing to make fun of such nonsense. The assault and insult of this absurd proclamation, is just an example, of the degrading to devalue people, by the marketing industry. Their product will make you worth it, in other words. So, the people who do not use the product, are not as worthy.
The trumpeting of such absurdity professes how little the media thinks of us and our ability to evaluate and discern. We cannot be counted on to see, use and decide for ourselves that a product is good on its own merit and efficacy. No, we have to evaluate ourselves and our personalities to use or not use a product.
May you rot in hell for your wicked pronouncements.
